Central Park

From the Summit Train Station, take a direct train to New York Penn Station. The most popular show theaters are within 10-15 minutes' walking distance.  The directions here are to Times Square, which is close to many Broadway theaters.

Watch world-class symphonies and Ballet performances at Lincoln Center. To get there from the DeBary Inn, take the direct train from Summit Train Station to NY Penn Station, then transfer to subway 1, A, B, D to Lincoln center.

Madison Square Garden

The Garden is used for professional ice hockey and basketball, as well as boxing, concerts, ice shows, circuses, professional wrestling and other forms of sports and entertainment. From the Summit Train Station, take a direct train to New York Penn Station, the garden is right above the train station location at 34th street and 7th Ave.

Statue of Liberty

The most efficient way to get from Summit to Liberty State Park is to drive, which takes 23 minutes to drive and the distance is less than 20 miles via highway I-78.  Here are the driving directions. Drive times may vary greatly on Friday and during rush hour.

You can also take the train to New York Penn Station, walk to 34 St-Penn Station, take line 1 subway to South Ferry, and walk to Battery Park, take the ferry to Liberty Island, then take the walk to the Statue of Liberty.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Metropolitan Museum of Art (the Met) is a world-class venue for arts and culture that needs no introduction.  This uptown landmark is on 5th Avenue between 80th and 84th Streets.  To get there from The DeBary Inn, take the direct train from Summit Train Station to NY Penn Station,  then transfer the C Local train to 81st Street and transfer to the M79 crosstown bus across Central Park to Fifth Avenue.

To visit the world's most famous financial district, take the direct train from Summit Train Station to NY Penn Station, then transfer to subway 2 or 3 to go to Wall Street.
