Oktoberfest Celebrations Surround The DeBary Inn
There are lots of reasons to love Oktoberfest...the beer, the brats, the GIANT pretzels!! But if you cannot travel to Munich, Germany, you can experience Oktoberfest not far from The DeBary Inn. Oktoberfest NYC is being hosted by Watermark- Waterfront Bar on Pier 15 and is operated daily until Oct 31st. The event is free to attend but resrvations are needed to experience the food and fun for the entire family. Go online to www.oktober-fest.nyc. In New Jersey, several towns are hosting their own Oktoberfests as well. Hamilton Township's Annual Oktoberfest will be held weekend of Oct 16, 11 am-5:30 pm at Veteran's Park. Highlights will include fall favorites like hay rides, corn mazes, crafters, vendors and a pumpkin patch. Down in Wildwood, NJ, Oktoberfest will be held four consecutive weekends starting on Sept 16- Oct 9. Morey's Piers and Water Park's annual celebration hosts a wide selection of beers and German foodie favorites, such as Bavarian pretzels and schitzel at an outdoor Biergarten. Closer to home, in Summit, NJ, Reeves-Reed Arboretum will host its traditional Oktoberfest fundraiser on Sat, Oct 22 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. This seasonal fete will feature premium autumnal ales, Bavarian style bratwurst and pretzels. There will also be a German band performing to set the mood for fun in the garten.
