Spooky season has come to Summit, NJ and here at the DeBary Inn we have stocked up on all treats and no tricks. If you are in town for Halloween, there are a few events occurring downtown throughout the week. On Saturday, October 25, 2025 the Summit Downtown Community Programs and Summit Police Athletic League are once again co-hosting the annual Summit Halloween Parade. The fifteen-minute parade loop starts at 25 Deforest Ave and marches to the Village Green. After the parade is over, there is a costume contest, entertainment, and sweet treats to enjoy.

Summit Sunday Farmers Market: A DeBary Inn Fall Staple

Every Sunday from April to December, the parking lot at the corner of DeForest and Woodland avenue transforms into a farmers market dream. Widely regarded as one of the best farmers markets in the state, come rain or shine dozens of vendors set up to sell everything from homemade dog treats to artisan roasted coffee beans.
